My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
The cover is interesting and unusual all at the same time.
I listened to the audiobook in the car with my son to and from school. I think I got this audiobook through the SYNC program either last year or the year before, but I didn’t really start listening to audiobooks until this year.
I think when my son and I started listening to this book we were not sure we were going to like this book. The narrator was new to us, and it always seems to take some time to get accustomed to a new narrator since each one is unique :) And this book is quite unusual. At the start, I do not think we had any clue what was going on. As the story unfolded, we learned more, mysteries were slowly unveiled, and there were all sorts of surprises along the way. All of the surprises were done amazingly because I did not see them coming at all, and you may be thinking like what?? but I refuse to tell you on the grounds that it will ruin your own adventure :)
Maggie did an amazing job writing this book, and each character is unique and has a personality that stands out…of course Will’s narration did help with them standing out too :) I had no trouble conjuring the images in my mind of everything as it happened which just makes for an awesome adventure itself :)
Already my son has demanded that we have to listen to the rest of the series, so I will have to see how long it will take for the library to have them available to check out to make him happy :)
I recommend this book for YA book lovers who love when an author can surprise you along the way ;)
